Welcome Your Guests With These Wreaths!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner? There is no better way to welcome guests to your home by displaying a beautiful Christmas wreath.

I love the idea of a fresh wreath for the front entrance. I know that the Legion and some schools have them for sale prior to Christmas and it is a great way to support local charities.

Why settle for one wreath when you can have two though. The wreaths I am featuring today are a great addition. Take a look!

Bringing The Holiday Spirit To Your Guest Bedroom

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today I wanted to feature some oh so cozy guest bedrooms. With traditional Christmas colours and greenery these featured guest bedrooms are perfect for the holidays.

Sometimes adding just a simple Christmas potted plant or a few accents will do the trick. In the first photo the homeowner added items from Ikea and I love the simplicity of it. For high headboards I love the idea of a wreath placed in the centre. Take a look! Have a great day.

Budget Friendly Makeovers!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Today I wanted to share with you some fantastic bathroom makeovers. The best part is that they are all budget friendly and look awesome!

Generally bathrooms that look bright, airy and clean can leave buyers smiling. Even a small bathroom can impress potential buyers with a few key updates.

In the past we have painted, changed light fixtures and updated vanities to quartz for a cleaner more contemporary vibe. Buyers love updated bathrooms!

Here are some bathroom makeovers that look beautiful and are budget friendly as well. Take a look!

Simply beautiful by Angela

Angela transformed this bathroom by only spending $510.00 dollars and took this bathroom from 1990’s to farmhouse chic! Peel and stick wood looking floors, paint, and Rust Oleum for the countertop helped her achieve this beautiful makeover.

The above renovation cost less than five thousand dollars. Taking down the wall really opened up the space creating better flow.

For this budget friendly makeover we painted, cleaned the grout and replaced the countertops sinks and faucet.

Fantastic Kitchen Makeovers!

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are having a great week. Today I wanted to share with you some fantastic kitchen makeovers. Some are more budget friendly than others but they are all pretty amazing.

Oftentimes kitchen renovations can give you the best return on your investment when selling depending on what you do. Sometimes a good scrub, painting and repairs is just what you need. Other times though a budget friendly makeover will do wonders when selling.

Kitchen and bathroom photos are the two rooms that I absolutely love looking at. I have gathered some before and after photos of kitchens that look pretty awesome. Hope you enjoy!

Your Fall Property Exterior Maintenance Checklist

Happy Monday!

Brrr it is coming. Yes, I am talking about the cold weather. Here is a checklist to get your home ready for the upcoming months.

  • Clean your gutters- Gutters are important for collecting water and directing the water away. Clogged gutters can cause mold and damage.
  • Hose bib-Drain your hose bib, remove and store garden hoses.
  • Water Irrigation System- Blow the water out of your sprinkler.
  • Store and clean your outdoor furniture and cover the barbecue.
  • Check your roof- Fall is a good time to check your shingles. Worn, torn or missing shingles can lead to water damage.
  • Windows and Doors- Drafts can be expensive. You can easily feel the drafts on a windy day. Windows many need new windowstripping or may need to be replaced if they are leaking.
  • Say no to critters- Check for holes, install vent covers and set traps. Hire a professional if you cannot resolve your critter problem.
  • Check your walkway, steps, and outdoor railing. I personally know a few people who have injured themselves on uneven walkways and steps.
  • Remove and replace outdoor bulbs. Our days are getting shorter therefore having a well lit walkway or landing is important.
  • Book with your snow removal company. Have working snow shovels or a snow blower that is in working condition.

Have a fantastic day!

Sherwin Williams Jonquil

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! This is the perfect time to feature the colour Jonquil from Sherwin Williams. This is the paint colour of my most recent colour consult.

When my client came home to some flooding in her basement because of a broken sub pump the disappointment creeped in. The new paint colour was the end result of a renovation job due to the flooding.

My client loves colour and the colour Jonquil suits her home perfectly. Her style is more transitional. The home is Spanish inspired so we chose colours that are very similar to the ones she had before. That is what she loves and there is something about this yellow that just makes you feel “happy”.
